Many of our older patients feel like their GPs are their lifeline being their only regular contact in some cases. GPs are the sounding board for many lonely older people. Sometimes we hear they do not want to bother the Doctors Surgeries despite needing to see someone. Remember, we are all in this together. If you have an elderly neighbor, can you check in on them? Do they need assistance with making a phone consultation, or other duties. What else can you do to help?
The Australian Government has a range of services available to help older people be #COVIDSafe. These include domestic help, telehealth services, transport, home maintenance, nursing and more. Find out what is available here: Find out what is available here
